In addition to our monthly in-service events, our list serve allows us to communicate among members for upcoming community events, research opportunities, client referrals, and more.
Guild meetings are open to all mental heath professionals and clinical students-in-training. We normally meet the 3rd Thursday of each month from 8:00 am to 9:30 am from September to June; no meetings are held in July or August. Each monthly gathering consists of 15 minutes of networking and business planning, followed by an hour and 15 minutes of educational training about LGBTQ+, mental-health topics. These trainings are provided by Guild members or community specialists. Meetings are normally held in person, but during the current pandemic, we have moved to Zoom.
CEUs have been applied for, for all in-service programs by Utah NASW and for all programs including Plan-B Theatre Events. We have been approved for CEUs from the Utah Psychological Association for our in-service programs. CEUs are free for Guild members & $5 for non-members, per meeting.
We organize community training events such as Hope & Resillience: Reducing Intimate Partner Violence for Sexually & Gender Diverse Individuals and Sex Across the Rainbow: Increasing clinical competency in sexual health discussions with clients.
The Guild has traditionally been present at the Utah Pride parade & festival.
